Satellite
Can Save The Day
Flooding, fires, hurricanes and numerous other disasters can
knock out your primary data line for hours or days.
With Ground Control's FailSafe satellite solution, the equipment
necessary for maintaining high-speed connectivity is installed
on the facility roof. The instant your primary provider fails,
the satellite connection will automatically feed
your local network transparently without any human
interaction. When the primary connection comes back, the satellite
connection turns off.
FailSafe is a cost effective
network insurance
policy that will maintain uninterrupted connectivity as long
as you have electricity. Below are some of the features of
Ground Control's FailSafe solution.
Simple Integration -
One Dish - One Local Area Network
Ground Control will work with your IT department to integrate
a satellite system into your existing network. Many network
routers already have the ability to perform a "failover"
to a secondary network connection, and if so, all that
is required to purchase is the satellite system.

Pay Only When You Use The Service
Unlike all other satellite services that charge you a costly
fixed monthly fee for a high throughput connection
that you may not ever use, the Failsafe plan will focus
your costs on actual usage, which we believe is the
cost
most relevant to a backup solution. If the Failsafe plan
is never used, then the bulk of your cost
will obviously be the
equipment. Cost of entry relatively small, and with most
cases, pays for itself the first time your network would
normally go down (calculating lost man hours,
sales calls, or client interaction).
No Usage Limits
Another aspect to Failsafe service is that there is no
"cap" or limit to the amount of data you may transfer (at
your
option).
This feature is exceptionally helpful for when you can't
predict how much you will need at any given time.
The "No Cap" option is standard with all Failsafe accounts
at Ground Control.
24-Hour Monitoring
The instant the satellite network goes offline (or back
online), an email or SMS message can be generated and sent
to any party to inform of the Network outage. Otherwise,
with
the
transparent
nature of the satellite network, you may never
know your primary provider is down and needs to be contacted
for repair.
Superior Connectivity
Ground Control has been providing thousands of organizations
high-speed satellite connectivity for their primary fixed
or mobile connection for years. Our satellite networks
have been time tested and perform to highest levels in
the industry. Trust us to develop a Alternate Path for
your primary network connection.
Coverage
FailSafe is currently available anywhere in the contiguous
48 United States.
