The
Football is a compact 24 lbs (10.9 kg) hardened watertight case, easily transported and operated by anyone. An excellent solution for first responders, surveyors, mining, or other remote communication that requires an easy, instant, no-hassle broadband hotspot.

The Football uses the Inmarsat BGAN satellite network for broadband Internet connectivity. It then creates a 100' Wi-Fi access point in seconds for any wireless device to connect to. This is helpful if users wish to be inside or move around a structure.

The external panel includes a sealed Ethernet LAN port (RJ-45), a power switch (key), device display, a sealed charge port, and phone port (RJ-11) for any style phone. ISDN 64Kbps & Group 3 Fax configurations are optional. |

The Football case does not need to be opened in order to operate. Simply turn the key, and 60 seconds later it will becomes a wireless hotspot anywhere on the globe. |

Connecting a wireless device to the Football is as easy as selecting it from available access points. Wireless security is completely configurable and includes MAC address filtering, configurable from web based interface screens. |

The Football main interface is accessed via any connected browser. Screens show battery life, internal temperature, BGAN airtime usage, as well as many parameter configurations including streaming services, SMS texting, static IP addresses, etc. |

The Football (and all BGAN terminals) operate globally as long as line-of-sight to one of the three BGAN satellites is available. There is no need to reconfigure, or purchase a different plan if traveling anywhere on the globe. More |

The Football may be powered continuously (or recharged) from a 12 volt vehicle power with the included mini-inverter. The watertight connector from the charger is screwed to the Football front panel for an all weather seal. |

A watertight cap protects the RJ-45 Ethernet LAN port from the elements. A laptop or router may be connected directly to the Football. Optional watertight Ethernet connectors are available for making custom cables. Ethernet lengths can be up to 328 feet (100 Meters). |

While the Football is designed for Internet connectivity, it does include a standard phone with Caller ID. The phone port is issued an international satellite phone number. Any connected phone may make and receive calls from anyone on the planet for about $1 a minute. |

Like a satellite phone, the Football can make or receive calls from anyone. Calls are easily made between other Footballs, satellite phones, cell phones or standard landline phones. |

Add an optional solar panel to recharge the Football in a no-power location. Ground Control offers a 26 and 55 watt foldable solar panels that are multi-purpose and can be used to recharge other devices. |

Inside the case is the AC-DC charger, a 12V vehicle mini-inverter and a standard analog phone with 50' of RJ-11 phone cable and quickstart guide. The Football users guide is included on a USB key. |
